Sports News: SACRAMENTO — The Bay Area hasn't hosted a championship parade in three years, but neither the city nor the Warriors have lost the ability to appreciate the occasion. At a Muni train station halt, Stephen Curry climbed onto a bannister and began punching the sign right next to him.

Chants of "M-V-P!" reverberated across the room as blue and gold confetti fell from the skies.

Before blowing a bottle of champagne and dousing her spouse in it, Ayesha Curry pointed at a sign that stated, "Ayesha can cook." That motivated Curry and Damion Lee to make room in the crowd and pop their own bottles, dousing the onlookers in beer as they went.

Curry addressed the small gathering of team and arena staff at the pre-parade rally, saying, "We represent you guys. "You matter because of the life you give us and the inspiration you provide. That is the main focus. Providing you guys with entertainment and a cause to be enthusiastic about By doing so, we will be able to represent the entire Bay Area and go out and accomplish things that have never been done before. Let's go do it now that we're back and there will be a parade in San Francisco."

The Warriors were placed in pairs on double-decker buses, but it didn't take them long to abandon their bus and mingle with the throngs of people who had been anticipating them since before dawn.

Klay Thompson set the Larry O'Brien Trophy down before dancing behind it in the style of Michael Jackson while taking a step back. After grabbing the trophy, he took off sprinting while high-fiving and dancing with any supporters who followed him.

Jordan Poole jumped off his bus a few buses back with a Super Soaker water cannon and a pool float in hand. In the heart of San Francisco's Market Street, he rushed up and down the gates, dousing anybody he could. He took hold of his friend's camera and began taking images and videos so he could record himself doing it.

Juan Toscano-Anderson, a forward with the Warriors and a resident of Oakland, became the first person of Mexican heritage to win an NBA title. He enthusiastically displayed that at the Warriors championship parade by covering himself in the Mexican flag. Toscano-Anderson exhibited love for the neighbourhood where he was up by travelling around the streets of San Francisco, which is roughly 20 miles from East Oakland, where he grew up. Fans screamed in delight as he jumped off the bus. He even brightened the day of one young fan when he hoisted the youngster over the rail and allowed him to walk with him through the parade. As he continues to actually break through barriers, it all combined to make for a day that the boy and Toscano-Anderson will probably never forget.
