Scott Twine, an attacking midfielder for MK Dons, has signed a four-year contract with Burnley for an unknown sum.
The 22-year-old had a stellar season in League One last year, with 20 goals and 13 assists.
Ben Mee, James Tarkowski, and Nick Pope are just a few of the players leaving Burnley this summer as part of the club's extensive makeover under new manager Vincent Kompany.
Although Burnley has been successful in reinforcing their attack with Twine, The Athletic claimed on Sunday morning that a mooted transfer for Arsenal defender Daniel Ballard had failed due to an inability to reach an agreement on terms.
Twine expressed his excitement about moving to Turf Moor by saying, "I am buzzing. I know I made the right choice by joining Burnley.
"I had a long conversation with the management, and after hearing about his exciting ideas, I knew I had to sign." It feels like the ideal environment for me, and I can't wait to get going."
"We are thrilled to have signed Scott to the club," Vincent Kompany continued. He is a talented young player who will assist Burnley Football Club in both the short- and long-term projects.
We have been keeping an eye on him for a while, and we are aware of his ability to score goals and have an impact on games. We are happy to have him join the team.

Twine joined the Dons from Swindon for an unknown sum in June of last year and made 50 appearances across all competitions. He scored 20 league goals and contributed 13 assists in that time.

Burnley hired Kompany as Sean Dyche's permanent replacement earlier this month in an effort to return immediately to the Premier League after being relegated.
